The Clay That Connects Us is a limited-edition Morris & James coffee table book bringing together customer stories, memories, and journeys - collected at the close of the pottery and preserved in one carefully made volume.
Rather than telling the story from the inside, this book reflects Morris & James as it was lived: in homes, gardens, kitchens, and everyday life across New Zealand and beyond. It’s a shared record of what the pottery meant to the people who chose it, kept it, and built memories around it.
To complete this record, the book includes the final Morris & James production catalogue, preserved as a reference for future collectors.
This edition is available on presale, with an estimated delivery date of May-June 2026.
The book will be a full-colour hardcover, measuring 250x290mm and is expected to be approximately 240 pages (page count subject to final layout).

The final cover design will be selected based on the most popular vote. Voting contributes to the final decision, but does not guarantee that the cover you vote for will be the one you receive.
Presale & Delivery Information
This is a presale, made-to-order item. Presales close on 15 January 2026. After this date, no further orders can be accepted. This cut-off allows us to confirm final quantities, lock in production, and move the book into print. If the minimum order quantity is not reached, the book will not proceed and all orders will be refunded in full, including shipping.

If you’re purchasing the book as a gift, simply enter the recipient’s delivery address if you’d like us to send it to them directly, and leave a special message at checkout. Every order will automatically receive a link to a digital gift card for convenience. The book will be shipped directly to them upon release.
