The Clay That Connects Us.
A limited-edition hardcover built from the community’s own stories: more than 200 memories, curated photography and the final Morris & James production catalogue, in one collectible volume. Designed as a high-spec coffee table book, it’s one to reach for time and time again, and to display with pride.
Told from the outside.
When the closure was announced, the response was far bigger than expected. Rather than retelling the pottery’s history from the inside, the book captures it through the people who found joy in the pottery, lived with it and passed it on. Customers, collectors, past staff and supporters were invited to share their memories: gifts given and received, daily rituals, loved ones, and milestones marked by clay.

Stories first. Then the record.
Most of the book belongs to the community stories. It closes with a timeline, the story of the Potter’s Mark, the three cover designs, and the 2024/25 production catalogue printed with its prices: a lasting reference for collectors, and an archive of designs no longer made.

As part of the presale, purchasers were invited to choose the cover from three shortlisted designs. Voting was open to confirmed purchasers only, through a secure link sent after each order, over a limited window. The most popular design won. Voting closed in December 2025, with Kieran’s Bar taking more than half the vote.
