How it works

Simple, and posted.

  1. Join. $89 buys four editions, NZ postage included.
  2. They roll out over 12 months, posted to your door as each one is printed.
  3. No automatic renewals. When your four have arrived, it’s up to you whether to join again.
  4. Send us your pieces and stories. Members’ submissions can appear as exclusive print content.
  5. Keep them on the shelf. Each edition is unique and collectable (no reprints).

Once a quarter, always on a Friday. Stories close a week before each edition goes to print. Join by the sign-up date to receive that edition. Allow 4 to 7 working days for delivery.

Will you sell editions individually?

We’ll aim to make single copies available. This will depend on what’s left over once members’ copies have been printed and sent.

Will the Mail Club be in libraries?

No, the Mail Club won’t be going to libraries. Its zine format isn’t suited to library collections.

I live overseas. Can I join?

Yes. Prices include NZ postage only. For overseas delivery, email us at marketing@morrisandjames.co.nz with your country and we’ll send you a postage quote and set up a custom order.

When will the first one arrive?

The Summer Edition posts from Friday 4 December 2026. Allow 4 to 7 working days for delivery. The full timeline is above.

Can I join part-way through the year?

Yes. Join any time and you’ll receive the next four editions as they’re posted, whichever season you start in.

What if I change my address?

Before each quarterly edition is posted, we email members to check their postal address is correct or whether they need a different delivery arrangement.

Does it renew automatically?

No. Your $89 covers four editions, NZ postage included, and that’s it. We’ll let you know when your last one is on its way.

Launching with the Summer Edition. The Mail Club goes ahead once 100 members have joined by Sunday 15 November 2026. If we don’t reach 100, everyone is refunded in full.

Terms and Conditions

Minimum numbers and refunds

  1. The first year of the Mail Club, starting with the Summer Edition, goes ahead once 100 annual memberships have been sold. We call this the minimum. Single editions do not count towards it.
  2. To count towards the minimum, join by 11.59pm NZDT on Sunday 15 November 2026.
  3. If we reach the minimum by then, the Summer Edition goes to print and is posted from Friday 4 December 2026. Your membership covers four editions, starting with the Summer Edition.
  4. If we do not reach the minimum by then, the Mail Club will not go ahead this year. We will email every member by Wednesday 18 November 2026 and refund the full amount paid, including any postage, to the original payment method within 10 working days.
  5. We may decide to go ahead below the minimum. If we do, nothing changes for you: your membership and the four editions stand as described.
  6. After 15 November 2026, you can join at any time. Each edition has a sign-up date, and your four editions start with the next edition after you join. The sign-up and posting dates are in the schedule above.
